Dr. Michael Fama, PT, DPT

Michael received his Bachelor of Science from the University at Albany, where he studied Human Biology. Following his undergraduate degree Mike received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Stony Brook University completing internships in neurologic and orthopedic settings. Mike also spent extensive time working with patients recovering from the effects of a stroke. 

Upon graduating from Stony Brook Physical Therapy, Mike has focused his time in the outpatient physical therapy setting. He has taken a variety of continuing education courses with a focus on orthopedic and manual therapy skills. Mike has had the opportunity to teach undergraduate anatomy students, and is currently on staff at the Stony Brook University DPT program as a teacher’s assistant. Due to his experience Mike’s approach to treatment is focused around a thorough hands on treatment, supplemented with therapeutic exercise and patient education to help restore functional activity.
